Devoted to the advancement of accounting knowledge, EAR provides a forum for the publication of high-quality accounting research manuscripts. The journal acknowledges its European origins and the variety of the European accounting research community.

Building on this diversity, EAR is committed to publishing insightful and rigorous papers that contribute substantially to advancing our knowledge of accounting. With an internationally renowned editorial team and outstanding contributors, European Accounting Review is a leading forum for the development of accounting theory and practice.

EAR Annual Conference is a scholarly forum for the presentation and discussion of high-quality research papers. In 2025, the EAR Annual Conference will be held in Paris, and it follows successful prior events of the annual event held most recently in Castellon (2024) and Madrid (2023). The EAR 2025 Annual Conference is organized by European Accounting Review with hosting and support by the Accounting Department of IÉSEG School of Management.

The conference program will include a limited number of papers, each of which will be assigned a discussant.
