JUSTE: Great fish dishes
At the heart of the Grands Boulevards, “JUSTE” is a small restaurant where you can enjoy good seafood, directly from the fishmonger and therefore at very reasonable prices. Goes well with a small glass of white wine. A delight!
DOSE: Coffee dealer
Want a good coffee? Go to DOSE!
The atmosphere is relaxed and cozy and it’s located in a great neighborhood.
LE BOUCLIER DE BACCHUS: Wine merchant
Feel like tasting French wines?
After your shopping trip to department stores, go to “Le Bouclier de Bacchus” (Bacchus shield) to buy all kinds of wines and champagnes at producer prices.
You can also choose to taste them on the spot, with a burger for example. Philippe, the manager will be happy to advise you, the wine is his profession and his passion.

JARDIN DES ROSIERS-JOSEPH MIGNERET: Green space
This secret garden is a lovely and perfect place to eat your Falafel (just next to the famous pedestrian street: “rue des Rosiers” (in Paris’s Jewish district). The public garden was created in 2007 and completed in 2014, by the joining up of several private gardens.
The garden was named “Garden of Rosebushes – Joseph-Migneret” in 2014, in honor of the director of the neighboring school, the Elementary School Hospitalières-Saint-Gervais, who, during the Second World War, was a member of the Résistance and saved a number of children from deportation.
BOUILLON CHARTIER RESTAURANT
http://www.bouillon-chartier.com/en/
This restaurant is over 100 years old and still exquisitely vibrant. The restaurant is dear to native Parisians, which might help explain why it is just as beloved by tourists from the world over.
Since 1896, the restaurant serves a traditional cuisine at frankly unbeatable prices. Enjoy the unique charm of a decoration which is listed on the Register of Historic monuments.

ALBERT KAHN GARDEN: Green space
Albert Kahn was a banker and a French philanthropist. He created and financed many institutions, each with a specific aim, such as documenting, researching, increasing the well-being of some populations. Taken together, they reveal the political nature of Albert Kahn’s work. The banker, a pacifist and an internationalist, endeavoured to act on the world by working with elites around the world.
Made up of different horticultural models from various countries, Albert Kahn’s gardens represent his work in the same way as his various foundations. Flower essences from Europe, America, Africa, Oceania and Asia are gathered in seven types of gardens which constitute the site. A real trip around the world!

GALERIES LAFAYETTE TERRACE
©Florian Plag
Fancy seeing Paris from on high without having to pay an entrance fee or queue for hours? Head to Galeries Lafayette (Coupole) and haul yourself up to the seventh floor for a panoramic view of the city, stopping at the sixth to grab something to eat or drink. The view is one of the most impressive you’ll get in Paris. You will also find an ephemeral Italian restaurant : Caffè Burlot. The terrace is open from Monday to Saturday from 9am to 7.30pm.
7th floor of the Galeries Lafayette (free)
PRINTEMPS MAISON TERRACE
You also can enjoy a coffee on a lovely terrace with a 360° panoramic view on Paris and its monuments, situated on the roof of the splendid edifice of “Printemps Maison” (on the 9th floor), just next to Galeries Lafayette. Here, you will find “Le Déli-cieux”, a self-service restaurant with a wide variety of fresh foods and a broad selection of sweets. Open from Monday to Saturday, 9.35am-8pm (8.45pm on Thursdays).

LE FUMOIR: Wine and cocktails
Opposite the Louvre museum, “Le Fumoir” has a gentleman clubby feel: refined yet cozy, with a choice of lively or quieter areas. Excellent selection of a cocktails and a solid French wine list. A favorite feature is its library- you are welcome to help yourself to books and read, or even take one and replace it with one of your own!

PHARAMOND: Restaurant
In the very centre of Paris (Les Halles) this is a traditional restaurant which, despite being in a very touristic area, has authentic north French food and a nice service. In summer there is a terrace at street level but, wherever you are seated, it is worth paying a visit inside and on the first floor to see the beautiful decorated room. The restaurant is good for both fish and meat and could cater to groups, with advance reservation.
GEORGES: Bar-restaurant with a view
This bar and restaurant is situated in a very iconic landmark, on the last floor of the Pompidou centre. My suggestion is to go there for an aperif, where you can enjoy the beautiful view on Parisians rooftops.
THE FROG & ROSBIF: Pub
Frog & Rosbif is the central venue of popular pub chains in Paris. They serve their homemade original brewed beers and broadcast sport events. A nice place for an aperitif and just a bit larger than the classical Parisian bar.
THE GREAT CANADIAN PUB
Another address for those of you who might feel homesick and in need of an Anglo-Saxon beer. This pub is literally in front of the Seine and within walking distance from St Michel, so quite handy for a stop between visits.
GROM: Gelateria/ice cream
This small parlor, located not far from Saint-Germain-des-Près, is part of a well-known Italian chain, and probably the best place for a real Italian ice-cream in Paris. The ice cream is fresh and delicious, you only have to take into account the queue, which can be very long, and the fact that there are basically no seating places.
POZETTO: Gelateria/ice cream
Another strongly recommended address if you are in the Marais and looking for a real Italian ice cream. If you go to this parlor you have to try Fiordilatte (milk cream), which is the ice cream taste all Italians crave for when abroad.

AUBERGE NICOLAS FLAMEL: Restaurant
http://bit.ly/auberge-nicolas-flamel
Built in 1407 on 51 rue de Montmorency (3rd district of Paris), the Auberge Nicolas Flamel holds the record for the oldest house in Paris. It is now a restaurant.
Nicolas Flamel was a well-known alchemist and the only known maker of the Philosopher’s Stone, a legendary substance with incredible powers. In Harry Potter’s book, he was close friend and partner with former Albus Dumbledore. Go to the Nicolas Flamel Inn for a historical and a tasty French dinner!

CLASSICAL MUSIC AT THE SAINTE-CHAPELLE
©classictic
If you appreciate classical music, try to get to a concert at the Sainte-Chapelle. Although it is far less known or visited than its neighbor on the Ile de la Cité Notre-Dame, the Sainte-Chapelle is in my view one of France’s most awe-inspiring gothic buildings. The stained glass windows form the main part of the structure, and one is surprised by how little stone is used. Add music to the visual spectacle, and you are in for a special evening.

VINEYARDS CLOS DE CHANTECOQ IN LA DÉFENSE
©ladefense.fr
Trust the French to have vineyards in unusual places – such as within La Defense, Europe’s largest business district! Although wine growing was a primary activity in Paris until the end of the 19th century, and Paris wines had such a reputation that they were served at the Kings’ Court, there are only a few very small vineyards left in Paris. The Clos de Chantecoq vineyard consists of 350 Pinot Noir and 350 Chardonnay plants. Located at the Paris end of the Esplanade of La Defense, it benefits from a long exposure to the morning sun, and from the heat retention properties of high-density urban areas, which explains why its grapes tend to mature before those from France’s traditional wine growing regions.
