2024 Teaching Excellence Awards: IÉSEG celebrates the commitment and excellence of its professors
Since their creation in 2019, the IÉSEG Teaching Excellence Awards have become a famous distinction, dedicated to faculty members who embody the highest standards of the School in terms of pedagogical innovation and academic impact. These awards highlight professors whose constant dedication and exceptional teaching approach contribute daily to the evolution of teaching and learning quality at IÉSEG.
The 2024 edition of the Teaching Awards reflects this pursuit of academic excellence by rewarding professors with unique approaches aimed at inspiring and motivating students throughout their journey. Each winner has demonstrated an innovative vision of teaching, whether through interactive methods, content personalization, or the integration of digital tools into their courses.
The 2024 Teaching Excellence Awards recognize 6 professors for their outstanding pedagogical impact. The winners are: Steven HOORNAERT (PGE Bachelor’s cycle), Jonas DEBRULLE (Bachelor Programs), Luis Fernando PEREZ ARMAS (Master’s PGE cycle), Hayley WALKER (Executive Programs), and Myriam DEGRAVE (Post-Graduate Programs). Marjorie FOX has been awarded in the Digital category Award for her creative integration of virtual reality in her course on GDPR. These awardees embody IÉSEG’s mission to support professors who inspire and guide students towards excellence. Through their commitment, they help shape a stimulating academic environment where every student is encouraged to surpass themselves and prepare for the challenges of the professional world.
As Loïc Plé, Director of Pedagogy at IÉSEG, states, “these Teaching Awards are always a special moment of the year. They are an opportunity to recognize initiatives and pedagogical innovations that shape the quality of our students’ learning experience and help them prepare as best as possible for the many challenges of the professional world.”
