IÉSEG Esport team wins the League of Legends French business school cup
On April 26th, the IÉSEG Esport team, a branch of the Bureau des Jeux (or game club) on the Paris campus, won the League of Legends* French business school cup.
Students from French business schools such as Neoma Business School, SKEMA Business School, and GEM participated in this event, which brought together around 2,000 live viewers (the tournament was organized by SKEMA, in partnership with the game’s developer).
“We are very proud of and happy about this victory, which is the result of a long-term effort to create enthusiasm for e-sport at IÉSEG. The level of our 7 players allowed us to have this success, and we also hope to perform well in the national university tournament, which will be taking place this week,” Baptiste Benazzi, IÉSEG Esport Manager, explained.
The Bureau des Jeux, the Chess Club, etc. are associations of which the objective is to promote all types of games at IÉSEG. Each association has around 10 members who organize different events and tournaments throughout the year.
League of Legends is a team-based strategy game where two teams of five players face off to destroy the other’s base.
