The first edition of the MBA in Leadership and Coding has started
On September 14th, the first edition of the MBA in Leadership and Coding kicked off. Designed in collaboration with the coding school Le Wagon, this program offers modules combining courses in management and web development. On the first day, the two schools welcomed the first participants of this ambitious program on the IÉSEG campus in Paris – La Défense.
The cultural diversity brought by the participants coming from five different countries (Bolivia, Brazil, United States, China, Algeria), their eight years of professional experience on average, and their interest in the world of technology will produce high quality exchanges and will allow for skill improvement.
During these first days, the participants were able to get acquainted with the IÉSEG environment in the Grande Arche where the business and management courses will be taught. They were able to meet their professors and the administrative staff, and learn about the program in more details. They will soon start the web development courses at Le Wagon, located in the 11th arrondissement in Paris.
At the end of this one-year program, participants will graduate from both schools. They will have the capacity to update their website, to better communicate with their service providers and their teams of developers. They will also be able to prototype a new web product, challenge designers, communicate their ideas more effectively and create an application from scratch. From a business and management point of view, participants will develop their managerial and leadership skills. They will learn the best practices for managing a company and building an impactful and sustainable business model.
Ghassan Yacoub, Academic Director of the program says “This program is a unique learning opportunity for our participants. Given the inevitable integration between business and technology, tomorrow’s managers will need new skills not only to stand out and become changemakers but also to be able to lead cross-functional and agile teams in a dynamic and complex environment.”
Edouard Foussier, General Manager of Le Wagon in Paris adds “We are very proud to launch with IÉSEG a new kind of MBA program that cleverly combines soft and hard skills in the same curriculum. Learning to code will allow our participants not only to understand in depth how technology works, but also to be able to apply their technical knowledge to concrete cases that they will find in the workplace.”
