Fourth edition of the “How I Met Your Start-Up” contest
The association How I Met Your Start-Up* organized the Grand Finale of the fourth edition of its public speaking contest on November 20, 2018. For the first time, this event, which brings together students, start-ups and large companies, was open to students in all of Lille.
After the pre-selection phase, the start-ups selected six students to represent them in front of a jury of professionals from different sectors and an audience at the Université Catholique de Lille. Candidates pitched their assigned start-ups in several minutes:
• Eautenticwater represented by Lionel Mathe (ESPOL student)
• We Love Local represented by Hadrien Parsy (IÉSEG student)
• Take a Meal represented by Paul Margot (IÉSEG student)
• The Art Cycle represented by Lucile Grolleau (ESPOL student)
• ID-NRJ represented by Côme Tetard (IÉSEG student)
• Tepee represented by Maxime BAUGE (IÉSEG student)

The jury, presided by Valentine Barbelivien (Lawyer, Cabinet Kramer Levin), reached its decision after some deliberation. In first place was Lucile Grolleau, who won a week of immersion with Denis Vanbeselaere, Chief Innovation Officer at Auchan Retail. Her start-up, The Art Cycle, was awarded a €2,000 cheque from Caisse d’Epargne Hauts de France, partner of the IÉSEG Incubator. Maxime Bauge came in second, and his start-up Tepee won support from La Quincaillerie, a development agency. Paul Margot came in third with his start-up Take a Meal, that will benefit from access to the co-working space La Maison for a month.
Congratulations to the winners, and to all of the participants!
