IÉSEG Career Day 2025: a major event for students’ career prospects
On January 30, 2025, IÉSEG’s Corporate Relations Department organized the IÉSEG Career Day 2025 in Paris. This event, which is one of the key steps in the career support offered by the School, allows students to meet partner companies and organizations to explore a range of professional opportunities.
A first step towards the corporate world
Every year, the IÉSEG Career Day brings together many companies who come to meet students, whatever their program or background. From start-ups to major international groups, 60 companies came, representing a wide variety of fields, such as marketing, finance, digital, human resources, consulting, supply chain, etc. Internships, work-study contracts, first jobs (permanent or fixed-term contracts), V.I.E. (international corporate volunteer program) or even Graduate Programs… many offers were proposed to students and adapted to different backgrounds. Whether on a Bachelor’s, Master’s, Specialized Master’s or MBA program, or recent graduates, everyone had the opportunity to talk directly with recruiters, compare their ambitions with the reality of the market, better understand companies’ expectations and explore opportunities matching their profile.
The Career Day fosters genuine exchanges between students and working professionals. It is an opportunity for partner companies to meet talented students from diverse backgrounds and promote their employer brand. It is also a chance for them to discover students’ new desires or changes in their expectations. On the other hand, for students, it is an opportunity to ask questions, get advice and be identified for ongoing recruitment. Thanks to this environment conducive to meetings, this forum is a key moment in the journey of students looking for their next professional experience.
Tools fostering meetings
To optimize exchanges, IÉSEG has set up appropriate digital solutions. For instance, this year’s Career Day used JobTeaser’s TalentConnect platform, a tool that allows companies to access students’ digital CVs in real time. Thanks to this solution, recruiters can quickly consult the profiles of the candidates they meet, take notes directly from their phones, and thus keep track of the exchanges for a more personalized follow-up after the event.
By limiting the use of paper, this approach is also part of a more eco-responsible approach. Students do not need to print out numerous CVs, and recruiters have an effective way of managing and optimizing the processing of applications.
A beneficial experience for all students
Participating in the Career Day does not necessarily mean actively seeking a job. Above all, it is an enriching experience that allows students to familiarize themselves with recruitment dynamics and gain a better understanding of what makes a difference in a selection process. Introducing yourself to a recruiter, asking the right questions, highlighting your background… These are all valuable skills that will be useful throughout a career.
