IÉSEG in figures: 2015 – 2016:
This year, IÉSEG welcomes 4 300 students (across all its programs) on its two campuses in Lille and Paris, an increase of 13% compared to 2014-2015.
To accommodate this growth while ensuring the high quality of teaching and the personalized support for students which have forged the School’s reputation, IÉSEG has reinforced its resources for the next academic year:
- The School now has 738 Teaching/Academic Staff including:
– 131 faculty members and 21 “teaching and research assistants” from 38 countries
– 86 “visiting professors” from international universities
– 500 adjunct staff
– 16 new permanent faculty for the academic year 2015-2016, coming from prestigious institutions (in France and abroad) such as HEC, Rotterdam School of Management and KU Leuven . 84% of permanent faculty are from outside of France and 99% are PhD holders.
- To accommodate this growing number of students, IÉSEG has finalized this summer the construction of a new building in Lille and plans to further expand its campus in Paris – La Défense in the coming months.
In recent years the School has pursued a strategy of internationalization and diversification of its academic programmes.
- International:
– The EQUIS and AACSB accreditations facilitate the development of international partnerships that include joint/dual degrees, academic exchanges and research collaborations. As of September 2015, IÉSEG has 235 partner universities in 62 countries.
– 790 students are on academic exchanges abroad
– 1900 foreign students (98 nationalities) are studying at the School
– 860 students are on internships abroad
– In Lille and Paris, a specific activity has been put in place to enable students to develop intercultural skills while studying.
- New programs: 3 new MSc programs (Investment Banking & Capital Markets; Big Data Analytics for Business; International Business Negotiation) and a Bachelor in International Business, have opened in September 2015. IÉSEG has also opened an Executive MBA in September 2015 and will launch an Executive postgraduate program in Finance in March 2016.
Furthermore, IÉSEG continues to strengthen its corporate relations, for example, by: expanding opportunities for students to interact with professionals (11 job fairs are scheduled this year together with hundreds of events bringing together companies and students); and the launch of a new Chair in E-Commerce and Big Data in partnership with Leroy Merlin and Adeo. The School has more than 2,500 corporate partners in France and abroad.
Finally, its ranking (21st) in last month’s Financial Times global ranking of the 80 best “Masters in Management”, confirms its position among the world’s best Business Schools.
