IÉSEG ranks among the best Schools of Management in main international rankings
On the occasion of the recent publication of three major international rankings (Shanghai Ranking, Financial Times ranking and QS ranking), IÉSEG confirms once again this year its international influence and the excellence of its teaching and research.
The School’s high rankings, and especially its progression in these international rankings, reflect the satisfaction of graduates with the quality of IÉSEG’s teaching, its daily support in entering the job market, and the recognition of the academic research of its professors and its degrees by companies.
Shangai Ranking: among the best French institutions in 3 research areas
Published in August, the Shanghai Ranking is based on the number and quality of research publications between 2016 and 2020, as well as the number of professors who have won a significant award in their field of expertise since 1980.
IÉSEG has made significant progress in 2022 and is ranked in 3 themes in the field of social sciences:
– The School reaches the top bracket in the Business Administration theme (world rank: 101-150), ranking 5th French institution for the number of articles published in influential journals.
– It maintains its position in Management (world rank: 201-300) and is ranked 8th in the world (and 3rd in France) for the number of research publications in international collaboration.
– Finally, for the first time, the School is ranked in Economics (world rank: 401-500).

QS Ranking 2023: IÉSEG’s student and faculty diversity honored
Published online on September 29th, the QS Ranking analyzes programs based on their academic reputation, their reputation with employers, the student supervision rate and the proportion of international faculty and students.
Here again, whether it is the Master in Management (+10 places), the Master in Finance (+24 places) or the Master in Big Data (which moves to the 51-60 category this year), IÉSEG’s programs stand out – the Master in Marketing being very well ranked, at the 30th position. The School is also particularly well positioned on the criterion of diversity of students and faculty.
“These international rankings reflect the excellence of our teaching and research, but also and above all the confidence and satisfaction of our graduates in their School and their degree. We are very pleased with these improvements, which position IÉSEG as a key player in higher education, both in France and internationally,” says Caroline Roussel, IÉSEG’s Dean. “We are proud to see our graduates succeed in their careers and flourish in business. Our mission is to train and develop changemakers working for a better society, and this is exactly what our graduates do every day, each in their own way, in their companies.”
