A new partnership between IÉSEG and the French Institute for Audit and Internal Control (IFACI)

Recently, IÉSEG and IFACI have recently signed a partnership, which aims at stimulating exchange and bringing together students, professors/researchers and professionals from the fields of internal audit and control.

IFACI is the umbrella organization of over 5,000 internal auditors, internal controllers and risk managers in France and is affiliated with the IIA (The Institute of Internal Auditors). It actively participates in the development of these professions and the dissemination of best practices.

This new partnership is designed for students enrolled in:

• The Grande Ecole Program Master – major in “Audit & Advisory” (Lille and Paris campuses)
• 2nd year of the Master in apprenticeship “Audit, Management Control, Corporate Finance” (Lille campus)

The partnership is built around 3 main axes of collaboration:

MEETINGS & RECRUITMENT

Students at the school will have access to internship, apprenticeship and job offers posted on the IFACI social network, and student-company meetings organized by IFACI. IFACI members will participate in employment forums, mock interviews, or corporate talks organized at the IÉSEG campuses or online.

• INTERVENTIONS IN PROGRAMS

IFACI professional members will participate in courses of the two programs through testimonies, creation of cases etc. IÉSEG students can take part in the best Master Thesis competition (Olivier Lemant Prize awarded by IFACI). They will also have the opportunity to assess their knowledge of Professional Standards for Internal Auditing through an IFACI certification program.

• RESEARCH

The partnership also aims at fostering exchanges around research in internal audit and control, through joint events (symposium, training, workshops, seminars), and opens possibilities for joint PhD thesis supervision via the CIFRE initiative in France.

“The partnership between IÉSEG and IFACI brings added value to the students of our two Master’s programmes by giving them access to a rich and high-quality network and introducing them to the professional world of auditing and internal control,” explains Caroline Roussel, Vice Dean at IÉSEG. “It is also an excellent opportunity to prepare them as well as possible for their future professional life. This partnership will also be an opportunity for IÉSEG professors and audit and control professionals to collaborate on teaching activities and research projects.”

Delegate General of IFACI, Philippe Mocquard, notes: “IFACI is the platform for the internal audit, risk and control professions. It brings together the professionals, their stakeholders, and all the resources necessary for their development as well as that of their profession. The IÉSEG students who intend to work in these professions should naturally be able to integrate this platform in the framework of their training and their future career under appropriate conditions.”
