Scientific prizes and awards

  • Luca Gelsomini’s single-authored paper ‘Public Disclosure by Small Traders’ won the best paper award at the Annual Young Economist Conference organized by the National Bank of Serbia. The Award Committee was composed of Charles Engel (Full Professor, University of Wisconsin-Madison & Editor, Journal of International Economics), Boyan Jovanovic (Full Professor, New York University), and Branko Urošević (Special Adviser to the Governor, National Bank of Serbia).
  • Hedley Malloch and Birgit Kleymann have been awarded the “New Thinking Prize”  “to the paper which stimulates new thinking and has the potential to make a difference to the practice of HR” by the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) for their work on ‘HRM and HRD as Bricolage: Francis Ford Coppola and the Making of ‘The Godfather’.
    The paper was one of a shortlisted top three. The prize carries an award of £500, plus certificate. The CIPD is the world’s largest Chartered Human Resources Development professional body.
