IÉSEG stands out at the World InterUniversities Championships (WIUC)
More than 70 IÉSEG students took part in the World InterUniversities Championships (WIUC) in Paris from November 1 to 5, 2023. A unique sporting moment marking the School’s commitment to sports values. The brilliant results achieved by the IÉSEG teams bear witness to the talent, determination and team spirit that prevail within the student community.
The IÉSEG delegation, comprising 410 students from the Paris and Lille campuses, was the largest at this international competition. Organized by the WIUC, the Euro Paris was a major competition involving different universities, showcasing the diversity of athletic talents.

These results testify to the dedication and rigor of IÉSEG’s student-athletes, who fiercely defended the School’s colors.
“Every year, the WIUC is the biggest event in the first half of our season, giving us the opportunity to represent IÉSEG internationally, and that’s always special. Competing it here in Paris, for the WIUC’s premiere in France, was even more special. It’s a great source of pride to be able to represent IÉSEG and win the WIUC with this group of friends we’ve been building up for 2 years now. It rewards our commitment to this team and our cohesion on and off the playing field. As I said to the players before the final, in 10 years’ time we’ll still be talking about this title and this adventure“, comments Aubry DE COINTET, captain of the IÉSEG Paris rugby team.
IESEG warmly congratulates all the student-athletes on their outstanding performances and continues to support sporting excellence within its student community.
