Studying abroad

One of the major assets of IÉSEG is a strong global component in the « Grande École » Program, and the number and quality of partner universities.
During their scholarship in the Grande École Program, IÉSEG students have to attend some courses in a foreign university.

Objectives:

  • Develop a greater understanding of both one’s own and other cultures
  • Gain a truly “international” education by living and studying abroad for one to three semesters, becoming familiar with other educational methods and management approaches
  • Gain self-confidence and independence
  • Improve foreign languages and multicultural competences through immersion
  • Meet new people and form life-long friendships around the world, as well as a future professional network

All work placements may be done abroad.
Students joining IÉSEG in their 1st year must complete at least 6 months’ work experience outside France to be awarded their degree.

Partner Universities

IÉSEG Partner Universities

The network of IÉSEG partners across the globe includes highly-reputed universities offering programmes that are compatible with IÉSEG programs. All the Grande Ecole students have to take part in these exchange programs. Depending on the host university, some students carrying out their 5th year abroad, may also be able to gain a double degree – MBA, MSc, MA.
Basic principles of international exchange programs.

  • Students will stay abroad for one semester or a full academic year, and this period may be renewed
  • All students – except 1st-year students – can be involved in exchange programmes
  • The student will pay tuition fees to IÉSEG only, not to the host university
  • The number of students sent to each university is limited, to ensure that students are well integrated
  • Students’ academic marks at the host university are taken into account so that they may be admitted to the next year of their studies
  • IÉSEG hosts many students from these foreign universities, which helps create an atmosphere of open-mindedness and drive provocative thinking in the School
